Giclees

A Giclee print is simply the closest duplication of an original artwork that is humanly, mechanically, or technically possible.

The word Giclee is French, and means spurt, and in this case “spray of ink”. From a hundred inkjets more than a million droplets of ink per second are sprayed on the medium. The resulting print has no perceptible dot pattern, but an endless array of richly saturated color.

Archival, water based light-fast inks are used. The latest inks offer up to 150-year light fastness and UV-resistance.

Giclees have an excellent exhibition history and they have been shown in museums and galleries throughout the world

Each print is an individual work of art, approved, signed and numbered by the artist.

All Giclees are printed on archival canvas & hand varnished.
